Thank you for visiting the Forum!
- The Forum is a unique marketplace for spare Parts created for the users of Servos and Motion Control. It is a critical resource for machine users who lose money when machines are down.
- The Forum is NOT an auction where you find a part for $10 that does not work or is not what you need.
- The Forum is NOT for hobbyists. When machines are down, plant personnel must replace parts quickly. Since no one can afford to stock every spare part, the Forum helps you meet that maintenance challenge.
- The parts you find at Forum are sometimes brand new, sometimes used, often refurbished. But in all cases they are in a perfect working order, with a warranty and technical support provided.
- And there is a lot of money to be saved here, particularly during these difficult times for U.S. manufacturers!
Become a regular visitor at Forum and see it grow to be a major marketplace for maintenance support for a variety of expensive and hard to find parts:
- Buy servomotors, drive amplifiers, steppers, feedback devices, mechanical parts, and many other products that belong to the field of Motion Control.
- From Metalworking CNC Machines to Medical CT Scanners, and for every industry in-between, you will find the parts YOU need.
- Sell excess inventory you do not need at a price YOU think is fair.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY A PART:
Check the Parts Inventory first. If the part is not there, simply send your requirement to the Forum. Make sure to provide sufficient information (i.e., what it is, OEM Model and Part Number, Machine Builder Part Number). Someone around the world might have an extra one to sell you at a good price! The Seller will contact you directly and ship you the product.
Potomac Electric is the host of the Forum. We facilitate the flow of information, provide technical support and maintain databases. In your search for parts, you will be in direct contact with the people who have the parts for sale. Some companies may lack the resources to negotiate with a buyer directly. In this case, Potomac Electric will handle the transactions, including collecting money, warranty and technical support.
IF YOU ARE A SELLER:
Placing your excess inventory list on our Parts Inventory List is a terrific way to sell the parts! YOU own your inventory and set the price. When the customer finds the part, Potomac Electric will contact you.
We find that OEMs, Distributors, and Machine Rebuilders cannot spare customer service and sales resources to deal with all the inquiries. Let Potomac Electric help you! All you have to do is to be ready to ship good, working product, often ASAP!
There is no obligation or restrictions beyond this requirement! You can list and sell your excess inventory in any other place beyond this Forum.
We only request that when a part is no longer available you notify the Forum Administrator ASAP so that the part will be removed from the Parts Inventory.
If you do not want to list your excess parts inventory in our Parts Inventory, you can sell the items yourself. When you visit the Forum on a regular basis and see a request for items you want to sell, you are welcome to contact the buyer directly.
If you are not sure if parts are in good working condition, Potomac Electric offers
Evaluation and Final Service. The benefit for you is that Potomac Electric will take the responsibility for a Warranty on the product. Motion Control Product is often used 24 hours a day and must be reliable.
